Los Angeles — It’s been two years since actor Chadwick Boseman passed away, and his work remains a tribute.

The “Black Panther” star received a posthumous Emmy on Saturday for the voiceover for the distinguished character of Disney+ and Marvel Studios’ animated show “What If…?”

The actor’s wife, Taylor Simon Ledward Boseman, accepted the award on his behalf.

On the show, Bosman voiced “Black Panther” character T’Challa in an alternate universe as he became the Star-Lord of “Guardians of the Galaxy.”

T’Challa is the one who gets kidnapped in place of Peter Quill. He convinces Thanos to give up his ambition to snatch life away, liberate every life form and wipe out the back half of Marvel’s Phase III.

This is the first animated series from Marvel Studios and focuses on different heroes from the MCU.

This was one of the last projects of Bozeman, who died in 2020 of colon cancer at the age of 43.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
